Established in 1979, we are the only artist-founded museum in Los Angeles. Jenny Holzer is an American conceptual and installation artist whose work deploys text in public spaces across an array of media, including electronic and LED signs, carved stone, billboards, and printed materials. Reception with the artist on Saturday, March 7th between 3-5pm. The exhibition at Cheim & Read will consist of Holzer's 2005 and 2006 series of oil on linen paintings and a single, large-scale LED (light emitting diode) display.
Jenny Holzer’s largest-ever exhibition features her signature works using text in site-responsive installations, from painted metal signs to robotic assemblies.
