4 Great Reasons Why Cats are Clearly Better Than Dogs in all Ways

Finally, you have decided what kind of pet you would like. It was down to the final two and your choices were between a cat or a dog. You weighed up the options and you decided that the best pet for you is a cat. Congratulations, you have chosen wisely and now you have many good years ahead of you in the company of your feline friend. There may be others like you who are caught in the middle and can’t decide if they should choose a dog or a cat as their pet of choice. Here are some good reasons why you should choose a cat and why cats are clearly better than dogs.

    1. Cats Don’t Take up Too Much Space – Unlike a dog, cats only need a little bit of space to make themselves comfortable. Many dog owners will tell you that it is not always good to have to share your bed or sofa with an animal that is almost as big as them. Waking up in the morning to a large dog lying on your bed and then the dog constantly waking you up because it wants to be walked and fed is not some people’s idea of fun. Due to a cat’s size, even if it is on your bed, you won’t even know that it’s there until you hear their purring, which is a very relaxing sound to hear first thing in the morning.
    1. It’s Cheaper to Own a Cat – When trying to adopt a kitten at your local pound, cats and kittens come with a lower price tag. Also, dogs need a lot of time spent with them and if you don’t have the time to do that, then you are going to have to find them some toys to play with. Dogs are quite rough and so you will find yourself having to buy toy after toy as they tend to rip them apart and break them. This isn’t a problem with cats as they play gently with their toys and tend not to break them all the time. If you have a Burmese cat, pet insurance may also be cheaper as well because cats have very few accidents.
    1. Less Time Consuming – Cats can pretty much take care of themselves and apart from changing the kitty litter and giving them a little food, they pretty much are OK. Dogs, on the other hand, need lots of attention and that means lots of your time. They need to be walked, no matter what the weather is like and they need to be bathed and brushed on a regular basis. If you don’t have the time to walk them then you are going to be out the expense of a dog walker and that’s not cheap.
    1. Cats are Definitely Quieter – You will hardly know that a cat is there and apart from the occasional purring, they are relatively quiet. Dogs, on the other hand, are completely different and you can expect them to bark loudly if they hear anything going on outside.

Cats are clearly the better choice when it comes to choosing between them and a dog. Make sure that you too, make the right choice.
